Sanctity of Human Life

National Sanctity of Human Life Day is an annual observance on January 22 and October is Respect Life month.

January is Sanctity of Human Life Month, officially designated as such in 1984 by then-President Ronald Reagan. During this month, we recognize the importance and value of every life, while also grieving for over 64 million babies in the United States and 1.7 billion worldwide who have been . On Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, January 19, 2025, it’s important for Christian leaders to preach and teach on the sanctity of life from a Biblical perspective.

In October, the Catholic Church celebrates Respect Life Month on the first Sunday of that month.
