• Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) introduced a resolution (H.J. Res. 98) to designate June as “Life Month”, commemorating the Dobbs v. Jackson Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade.

• Cruz praised the pregnancy help movement and pro-life advocates, highlighting the work of pregnancy resource centers, faith leaders, and foster families in providing care, compassion, and support to women and children.

• He emphasized that protecting unborn life is a moral duty of the American people and their elected representatives.

• The resolution cites the Declaration of Independence in affirming life as a God-given right, and declares that defending life is a measure of a just society.

• Cruz criticized Roe v. Wade as judicial activism and called the Dobbs decision a historic correction.

• The resolution recognizes pregnancy centers as “champions of life”, offering essential services without government funding.

• Co-sponsors include over two dozen Republican senators.

• A companion resolution was introduced in the House by Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ).

• The resolution is backed by major pro-life organizations including SBA Pro-Life, Heritage Action, Heartbeat International, Students for Life, and March for Life, among others.
